Import Voting History From Pollbook Data
After canvassing for an election is complete, Voter Focus provides an easy method to import the list of voters who voted in the election, including the dates and times, that is stored in the KnowInk electronic pollbook used in your jurisdiction. The file layout and format adheres to the standards required by TEAM to ensure voting history is accurately updated.

- First, export the voter data from the pollbooks after the Ballot Board has completed their review for the election. The file is exported in CSV format and contains voter VUIDs, the polling location, and the voting dates. The date voted determines if voter history should be updated as early voted or voted on election day.
- Go to the Elections tab on the console.
- Change the focused election, if needed. The focused election must be the election for which you are importing data.
- On the Elections tab, go to Reconcile History > Import Voting History.
- Click Import and Process Voting History File. The system validates the polling place in the import file exists for the focused election and is associated with the precinct in each voter record being imported.
- Voting history is updated.
- The voters' party is set for primary elections for voters with no previous party affiliation.
- The updates are audited and added to the voters' Ballot By Mail tab in Voter Maintenance.
If errors occur processing the imported data, such as an invalid precinct, a message displays on the Import Voting History dialog. The message includes the voter ID so you can note the specific records that require further research.
The total number of records processed as well as the number of successful and failed processed records display in the upper-right corner of the dialog.
